Teacher Qualifications

Morris Academy is required by Education Code 33190 to keep on file a record of the teachers, their home addresses and their qualifications for teaching. However, as a private school there are no specific qualification requirements that need to be met. Morris Academy decides on a family by family basis if a person is capable of teaching (Ed Code 48222). Please do not be intimidated by this form. Fill out and submit to us for our records.

You may list anything you feel qualifies you to teach. Here are some more common responses we receive: God's calling for your family; an active and continual interest in or love of learning; enjoyment of reading-math-science-history-etc.; hobbies or special interests; instructional files or audio's you have seen or listened to; homeschooling conventions or workshops you have attended (please state the year attended); college courses you received credit for; number of years you have already home educated your children; home school support groups you belong to; online support groups or websites you are a member of; military service; church activities or ministry positions; Scout leader; etc. Anything can be listed here.
